Business Challenge:
Cephalon’s accounting department needed assistance filling key positions during the implementation of SAP and until permanent placements were found for a number of open positions.

AC Lordi initially provided Cephalon with senior accountants to help the company manage its accounting and finance functions during a period of intense growth. When the company decided to implement the financial modules of SAP, it required even more senior-level expertise and staff resources, at which time AC Lordi also provided an interim Controller and Assistant Controller.
We continue to help Cephalon with numerous accounting projects in addition to Phase 2 of its SAP implementation. We assisted with its FAS 123(R) project and also completely revamped and formally documented the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley methodology and policies, and provided guidance for reducing and standardizing controls for multiple locations around the world. We also support their SEC reporting efforts including reviewing the 10Qs and completing footnotes.
