Formally documented a more efficient and streamlined SOX compliance methodology and implemented an antifraud program.
Company Background:
SEI is a leading global provider of comprehensive wealth solutions to financial service firms, institutional investors, and high net worth families.
Business Challenge:
SEI needed assistance with ongoing compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including updating and formalizing its compliance methodology, analyzing and testing Entity Level Controls, and implementing an antifraud program.
AC Lordi Consulting Solution:
AC Lordi formally documented a standardized Sarbanes-Oxley compliance methodology for SEI and provided the tools the company needed to manage their entity level controls. We developed an overarching compliance plan that when applied, allowed SEI to reduce key controls for testing purposes.
Value Delivered:
AC Lordi provided the expertise the company’s compliance efforts needed. We increased the efficiency and effectiveness of SEI’s Sarbanes-Oxley initiative and documented the Company’s compliance methodology for the first time. We provided them with a repeatable process based on our top-down, risk-based approach to compliance. SEI was able to leverage our expertise, experience, and depth of knowledge to create significant process improvements and implement a substantial compliance program. AC Lordi has also provided SEI with ongoing outsourced Internal Audit support, including substantive testing in conjunction with the execution of internal audit plans. SEI was able to save time and money by using our methodology to focus on key controls and dramatically reduce the amount of documentation and testing needed to assure compliance.
